For twenty years — since he was twenty — Davide Laviano has used painting to give form to his emotions and to his reflections on the world, on relationships and on intimacy. The canvas becomes a space for thought, a place where what words cannot say finally finds a body, a gesture, a colour. Over the years he has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Italy, and has been the subject of television interviews and articles in the national press. His works are part of several private collections. Today he also brings art into his work with children and adolescents, as an educational tool for telling what words leave unsayable — a bridge between philosophical thought, pedagogical practice and the painterly gesture.
