1. Introduction
These Terms govern the use of artellsmedia.com and the services offered on it (the "Platform"). By creating an account, submitting work or placing an order you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the relevant magazine's Publication Agreement.
2. Company Details
The Platform and the magazines Artells, Artego, Figgi, Marika and Quadro are operated by Individual Entrepreneur Marina Abramova, Varkhani, 7th Street N7, Adigeni Municipality, Georgia (Identification No. 322783653) ("we", "us"). Contact: team@artellsmedia.com.
3. Services
We operate an online publishing platform: free editorial submissions to five magazines; paid placement options (covers, interview features, additional images and similar); the Artells Media Awards photo contest; the Open Feed community gallery; community stories and direct messages between members; PRO membership; extra upload slots; portfolio reviews; paid confirmation documents (award certificates and letters confirming publication); a referral programme and an affiliate programme for agencies; and commission-request introductions between clients and creators.
4. Free Submissions
Submitting a series for editorial review is free of charge. Publication of free submissions is not guaranteed: the editorial board selects work at its sole discretion. No fee is payable to authors for publication; rights granted to us are set out in the magazine's Publication Agreement accepted at submission.
5. Paid Services — What They Do and Do Not Include
A paid option secures the specific deliverable named in the order (for example a cover placement, an interview feature or a portfolio review). Paid options do not buy editorial awards, contest placements, ratings or any outcome outside the order. We make no promises regarding visa decisions, career outcomes, sales or any third-party decision based on a publication or document. Confirmation documents state verifiable facts only.
6. PRO Membership
PRO is a subscription membership (monthly or yearly) with the benefits described on the PRO page. The term runs from activation and its end date is shown in your account. With auto-renewal enabled, the membership renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price: where a saved payment method is on file it is charged automatically; otherwise we email you a payment request. We remind you by email before each renewal, and you can cancel auto-renewal at any time in your account with effect from the end of the current period. If a renewal payment fails or is not completed, the account returns to the free plan; published work, scores and badges are unaffected. Fees for a started membership period are non-refundable except as required by law or Section 10.
7. Award Contests
Contest rounds are judged by community vote and an editorial jury under the Awards Terms (artellsmedia.com/legal/awards-terms). Judging is blind; purchases (including extra entries or PRO) increase participation limits only and never affect scores or placements.
8. Confirmation Documents
Award certificates and letters confirming publication are paid documents generated from platform records. They confirm facts (author, work, publication or contest result, dates) and can be verified at the public verification page printed on each document. We do not issue documents stating facts that did not occur, and we do not alter dates, placements or other records on request.
9. Prices and Payment
Prices are shown in USD before ordering. Payment is currently completed by invoice sent by email ("we'll email you to complete the payment"); an order is fulfilled after the payment is settled. Prices are final — we are not registered for VAT in Georgia and no VAT is added. Currency-conversion fees charged by your own bank are outside our control. Customers resident in Georgia receive an invoice in GEL at the National Bank of Georgia rate.
10. Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer — in Georgia, the EU/EEA, the UK, or anywhere your law grants a withdrawal right — you may withdraw from a contract for paid services within 14 days without giving reasons, unless the service has been fully performed with your prior express consent, or the deliverable is personalised digital content supplied to you (such as a generated certificate or letter you have opened). To withdraw, email team@artellsmedia.com within the period.
11. Refunds
Where a paid service has not yet been performed we refund on request. Where performance has begun we refund the unperformed part pro rata. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
12. User Obligations
You warrant that you hold the rights to the content you submit, that required model and property releases exist, and that your content complies with law and our content rules. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide (including names and credits printed in magazines and documents). Accounts are personal; keep your access credentials safe.
13. Prohibited Content
Content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, pornographic, depicting minors in a sexualised manner, promoting violence or hatred, or misleading (including AI-generated work submitted as photography without disclosure) is prohibited and will be removed; accounts may be suspended.
14. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims connected with a paid service is limited to the amount paid for that service; for free services, to USD 100. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or decisions of third parties (including visa authorities). Nothing limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury.
14a. Direct Messages
Messages between members are private but stored on our servers. We may review a conversation when it is reported or where the law requires; solicitation, spam and harassment lead to restrictions.
14b. Commission Requests
Commission requests are introductions only: any agreement, payment and delivery is between the client and the creator. Artells Media is not a party to that contract, does not process commission payments and is not liable for either side's performance. By sending a request you agree that your name, company and brief are shared with the creator.
14c. Referral Programme
Your invite link credits you when a friend joins and completes their profile (feed slots) and when they place a first paid order (a one-time discount code). Self-referrals and fake accounts void the rewards.
14d. Language
These Terms are drawn up in English. Translations are provided for convenience; in case of conflict the English version prevails, without prejudice to mandatory rules requiring information in your language.

16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. Disputes are resolved by the competent courts of Georgia. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected;
17. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes are announced on the Platform. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order.
