Ordinary moments from everyday life. But every time I looked through the viewfinder while creating these photographs, what I saw was something more than just ordinary. More than just mundane life, they were precious fragments of time that may not get repeated again!
Life as it is! The series contains photographs I made during my travels through Chennai, Kerala, Kodaikanal and Masinagudi. Each moment was a milestone in my photography career, helping me see better than I did the previous day.

In shortShiva's travel photography series shows how observing ordinary, everyday moments in places like Chennai, Kerala, Kodaikanal and Masinagudi can reveal rare and unrepeatable fragments of life.

Quick answers
- What is street or travel photography about if the scenes are just everyday life?
- It is about noticing how ordinary moments, when framed through the viewfinder, carry a depth and feeling that go beyond the mundane. Shiva treats these instants as precious because they will not happen the same way again.
- How does traveling to different places improve a photographer's eye?
- Shiva says each location and each photograph became a milestone, helping him see better than he did the day before. Moving through new environments like Kerala or Masinagudi trains a photographer to notice details they might otherwise miss.
- Why focus on everyday life instead of staged or dramatic subjects?
- Because ordinary moments, once captured, become fragments of time that cannot be repeated, giving them a quiet significance of their own.
