The Story Behind PETALS & WINGS

PETALS & WINGS began with my desire to create something that feels more like a painting than a traditional fashion photograph.

Coming from a fine arts and painting background, I've always been inspired by the relationship between light, color, texture, and the human form. For this series, I wanted to bring those elements together through flowers, feathers, dramatic lighting, and carefully designed styling.

I created the concept, artistic direction, and styling with the intention of celebrating femininity, individuality, and strength.

Working with China Leak brought the vision to life. Her presence, expressions, and confidence gave each image its own character. Latisha Chancey's beautiful hair and makeup work complemented the visual concept.

For me, PETALS & WINGS is about creating beauty through imagination and collaboration. I wanted every photograph to stand on its own as a piece of art.
