What Artells Media PRO Gives, in Plain Numbers

What Artells Media PRO Gives, in Plain Numbers

Everything on Artells Media works without a membership: you can upload to the Open Feed, enter the Awards, submit series to all five magazines and get published. PRO is for people who already do all of that and keep running into the limits.

This guide lays out what changes, what doesn't, and how to decide. No pressure, no countdown timers.

What stays exactly the same

The important part first. PRO doesn't buy the editors' yes. Series are selected on the work, Awards places come from blind ratings, and PRO adds no Artist Score points. The score only counts what the editors and the jury decided, for members and non-members alike.

What changes

The comparison on the PRO page: priority review (1) and the Commission button (2) are the two things only PRO has; the rest are higher limits.

Discounts never stack: if you also have a promo code or an Artist Score level discount, the best single one applies.

The Commission button

A PRO profile with the badge and the Commission button
A PRO profile: the gold PRO badge (1) and Commission this creator (2), which lets clients send you a brief.

PRO members can open their profile to client work. You set a starting rate and the kind of jobs you take in your settings, and your public page shows Commission this creator (2). Clients send a brief with a budget through the platform, and your contact details stay private until you accept.

Prices and how billing works

The two PRO plans
Yearly (1): $588 once, which works out at $49 a month. Monthly (2): $59, cancel any time.
  • Yearly (1): $588 paid once, $49 a month.
  • Monthly (2): $59 a month.

You pay online with PayPal, and PRO switches on as soon as the payment goes through on the PRO page. With auto-renew on, you get an email before each renewal, with a link to pay for the next period. You can switch auto-renew off in your account at any time, and PRO stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Who it is for, and who can skip it

PRO tends to pay off if you:

  • upload to the feed more than twice a week and keep hitting the limit;
  • want to enter more than two photos in an Awards round;
  • submit to the same magazine more than three times a month, or want a second accepted series in it;
  • plan to order paid options (covers, interviews, letters), where 10% adds up;
  • want clients to be able to hire you straight from your profile.

You can comfortably skip it if you upload a couple of photos a week, enter one or two in the Awards and send a series every month or two. The standard limits were set for exactly that rhythm, and the editors read every submission either way.

Frequently asked questions

Does PRO improve my chances of getting published or placing in the Awards? No. Series are selected on the work and Awards places come from blind ratings. PRO raises your limits and adds no Artist Score points at all.

Can I cancel PRO at any time? Yes. Switch auto-renew off whenever you like, and PRO stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

Do PRO discounts stack with a promo code or an Artist Score level discount? No. Discounts never stack; the best single discount applies to an order.

What's the difference between yearly and monthly billing? Yearly is $588 paid once, which works out at $49 a month. Monthly is $59 a month with no commitment. Both switch on immediately after payment.
